Travel Journal: A road trip from Washington to Arizona

Photo Journal capturing our favorite moments.

Joshua Tree National Park has been a source of inspiration for me since I was first introduced to images of the odd shaped trees. This was my first time in this area of the country and it was worth the wait. My wife and I went in the middle of Summer so it was hot! Below are images taken inside the park.

Phoenix to Flagstaff

Lots of incredible sites and things to see on as you climb thousands of feet from Phoenix to Flagstaff. We saw an incredible church that was built into the red rocks and sweeping landscapes that seemed too perfect. If you’re in that area on a hot day I would recommend going to Crescent Moon Ranch. It’s a state park that has a great swimming hole and red sand beaches.

Papago Park - Scottsdale

Hidden in the middle of the Phoenix metropolitan area sits Papago Park. It’s an expansive place to see the Phoenix Zoo or take a quick walk around some of the many paths. On the North end is the Desert Botanical Garden. A cactus lovers ideal place to see tons of different species while enjoying them in their natural habitat.
